Annnd one more thing, an IPS monitor...

Thread Starter
What is good yet cheap IPS monitor. I have a TN that is pretty dam good, I hear it gets close 90% of what an IPS can do, but it is still not an IPS monitor.

Can anyone recommend a good enough IPS that doesn't cost the world?

I love my IPS. Have a viewsonic myself. For example (it does use LED, but the price is right)
Viewsonic 23" IPS 1920x1080p widescreen $180 + free shipping
http://www.amazon.com/Viewsonic-VX2336S-23-Inch-Widescreen-Backlight/dp/B006DDGJMQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1335987673&sr=8-2

I actually have an older 24" but it's great. The Dells are also very highly reviewed.

I have three of those and love them. I calibrated them to make sure, but all three were very close out of the box.

Definately. And that's something to be aware of: IPS is not a silver bullet that takes care of all color, you still need (eventually) to get it calibrated.

HP ZR series might be cheaper for you. They are usually cheaper compared to Dells in the US.

The Catleap is the cheapest 2560x1440, but I assume you want a 1920x1080, heres the link anyway.

Dell U2412M. Check out the specs. LED IPS panel. You can adjust height, rotate, tilt. After I got it, my pictures look even better!

I really like my Dell and I know they go on sale pretty cheap. HP's are also awesome. What kind of price point were you looking at?
