Help Choosing New Mouse

Hey all ...

I am looking for a new mouse since my last one died ... I will provide as much info as I can and will give more info + websites in my area if needed ...

Here it goes ...

1. What's your grip style?

Without a doubt I am a pure claw grip user ... with fairly large hands ... (middle finger approx 9cm <3.5"> with heel of hand to tip of middle finger being approx 21cm <8.3">

2. What's your sensitivity?

Well currently I am using a cheap 1000 DPI laser mouse ... I have "lost" the feeling of high dpi ... so as long as the dpi is adjustable ... that is fine by me ...

3. Do you want additional buttons?

I would like at least 5 buttons ... (left, right, scroll, forward and backwards) ... any additional buttons will be a bonus

4. What games do you play?

I play RTS and FPS ... mostly FPS so no need for MMO mice

5. Do you mind about prediction?

I am sure most of my mice had prediction ... If the options I list have prediction so be it ... if not ditto ... ... I am not really sure how it will effect my game play

6. Other relevant information:

I would prefer a softer button click (especially the scroll and side buttons) but it isn't a deal breaker and as low a LOD as possible

7. Hard or cloth?

I currently use a, Verbatim Rapier Precision mouse pad (very similar 2 the razer sphex) and I prefer hard mouse mats ...

3. Current Options

Keep in mind that I would like to save money if I can but if the only good mice are higher in the budget (R500) so be it

+ Gigabyte M8000X
+ Corsair M60
+ Roccat Kova+
+ Cooler Master Sentinel Advance\Zero G
+ Steel Series Kana
+ Razer Lachesis \ Death Adder (both using the 3.5G Laser)
+ Microsoft Sidewinder X3

I know this is the mice section ... but ... If anyone can give thoughts on the Roccat Arvo, Razer Arctosa and the sidewinder X4 keyboards I would appreciate it

All information will be greatly appreciated
Kind Regards.

For the price the razer abyssus cannot be beaten. You can get it on ebay or alibaba for as little as 30 bucks including shipping.
If the abyssus is too small the deathadder is the 2nd best choice, followed by either the AM or the g400( If you are right handed)

All the keyboards you mentioned suck, get a mechanical keyboard instead. Try some to see which switch type you prefer. Personally I'd suggest something with cherry MX brown switches such as the zowie celeritas or any filco/ducky/das keyboard.

I wouldn't recommend the blackwidow keyboard as it is sort of overpriced and has an akward row of switches to the left of it that every progamer that Ive seen use it has pulled all the switches off.

I was told that the razer abyssus was a terrible mouse ?? ... was that person that wrong ?? ... ... I am right handed and will be looking at the mice suggested ...my country has very weird pricing so that is something I will have to check out ... ... my current mouse dimensions are approx 90mm X 60mm X 30mm ... and that is way 2 small ... I really was considering the Coolermaster Storm Sentinel Zero-G

as for the keyboard ... I was looking for a cheap temporary KB ... but I have decided on the Coolermaster Quick Fire Rapid not the pro or red edition as those are crazy priced ... but the 1 with MX Black switches ... ... It will be my first mechanical KB so I hope I like the feel ... especially for the price (R800)
