I think it is a bit ridiculous to get a $220 motherboard on a budget build. It would be a much much better idea to get a cheap intel board with an i5, but thats your call. I spent $110 on my board and I regret it, I wish I would have gotten a cheaper one and used the difference to get a 1GB GTX460 instead of my 768MB card.
The 550ti is not a good buy at $133 after rebate with shipping(newegg)
This performs much better as you can see if you follow this link
The 550ti hits a price point that is just too high in my opinion. The 7770 also outperforms it and you can get those for less than the cost of that superclocked, and it will save you money on electricity. nVidia wise the best cards are the 460/560(same) and you can often get a great deal on a used 460
Not trying to say your choices are bad, just trying to help where I can and don't want you to have the same regrets as I do.

XD I was your 1 thousandth, and yeah, I appreciate it, I'll look more into the numbers. And I could toss it in with it being one of the most expensive parts of any future build ideas, so that's why I did that.

dollar for dollar the Sabertooth is less money then the Corshair they both are a rock soild OC board but the kicker is the Sabertooth is less money and has a longer warrenty with 5 years veris 3 years for Corshair leving more money for a beter GPU

I'll look into the tradeoff.

It does get me back under $800 while still being substantially better than the m5a97 evo, starting to get into where I dont know what's good for me >.< Decided that a XFX 6870 would be a good idea whilest having to throw out a cpu cooler for the time being. No OC just yet.
