Need some clarification...

LED backlit means that the brightness will be higher, correct?
It doesn't have to do anything with color?

Here are some of the top rated monitors on newegg, could you tell me which one you guys like the most?

The ASUS VS248H-P is on sale now, and is crazy popular with a nice (?) contrast ratio.
Which do you guys think I should get?

Note: For the guys who saw my other thread about the Dell monitor, I am returning it because there is too much LED backlight bleeding.

In most cases, someone is more likely to write about a negative experience with a product than a positive one.

LED= power savings and slimmer bezels. LED backlit displays are no brighter than CCFL. Most displays, regardless of back-lighting measure around 200-350cdm/2 in terms of brightness and higher brightness=higher black level+more noticeable light bleeding=greyer blacks and washed out details in dark scenes.

Higher brightness is good for 3D and displays in extremely bright rooms. Get the VW246H

The VH242 is a 5msTN=no or poor overdrive=ghosting in games and movies.
