Helping Friend with new computer build

Thread Starter
So I am helping a friend that needs to upgrade badly put together a list of parts for a decent gaming machine. I just want to show you guys the list and see what you think.

Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 560

Motherboard MSI Z77A-GD65 LGA 1155 Intel Z77

CPU: Intel Core i5-3550 Ivy Bridge 3.3GHz

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

He is re-using his HDD and his PSU which is a 600w unbranded.

Just building a decent gaming rig am I leading him in the right direction he wants to spend around 700 bucks on the parts and this is about 650 so with shipping "he lives in canda" it would be around that much I would assume.... any ideas or opinions or is this a good list of stuff also how are the new ivy bridges... at first I said sandy bridge but the ivys are out and looking good so hey why not? anyone know anything about them or have used one.

Looks like a decent build. I'd go for it.

Great advice from Ironman for you.
Also note Canadian retailers price match, so he should be able to get that all at the same place if he wants.
