Intermittent Problem

Thread Starter
For about a month now, I have been having a intermittent problem with my internet connection. What happens is my internet connection will randomly drop throughout the day and even more during the night, I say it happens around 20 times a day. My internet only stays dropped for about 10 - 15 seconds, then it comes back on and it is normal. I use a cable modem, no router, I am hooked up directly to the modem.
I thought it was my ISP, so I called them have them come out a couple times until they finally ran new cable lines, new splitter, and gave me a new modem. But the problem still occurred after that.
Then I thought my drivers might need to be updated, but I checked that and they r all up to date. I checked my firewall, it wasn’t that either. I am all out of ideas. Does any1 have any idea what could be causing this?

Try using a USB cable instead of ethernet, possibly your ethernet port going bad. That is if the modem has the port.
