I actually wanted the pro but microcenter only had the deluxe but I do like the board. Also how new is your chip? Mine settled after a couple of weeks of use and ended up going from 1.44 volts 12 hour p95 stable to 1.48 volts to be stable at 5GHz, anything above that is hopeless. So I hope your chip stays golden good luck with trying to get more out of it.

Pro has 8phase and the deluxe has 16phase. The deluxe will do the same job as the pro but with half the effort and less heat. Also making last longer before your board craps out on you if it does. Some here push the pro's just as hard, and some have killed them too. The chip was bought on Saturday 4-28-12. She's not even a week old.

My 2500K requires 1.275V to hit 4.3Ghz and 1.310V to hit 4.5Ghz (stable enough for an overnight IBT).

I think I lost the Sandy Bridge lottery.

That's my thoughts exactly.  I was hoping to come in here and see a 5.9ghz chip.

I would disagree. Being that I'm not an extreme cooler, max multi doesn't mean much to me. Running a 5.1/5.2 daily driver at reasonable volts and temps to do so on conventional cooling is all I'm concerned with. thumb.gif

I guess everyone's definition of golden is different, based on what they plan on doing with the chip, but to each his own I guess.

that's not to say that a 5.9 chip wouldn't stoke me fully, because it definitely would. biggrin.gif

Ahh I was unaware that the pro had less phases, I got my dad the pro it's a nice board and it posts faster than my deluxe, definitely a nice setup.
