Milamber, still need to talk to your brother. I went back to scratch to try my OC and got 4.8 to boot, pass Intel Burn Test, and Cinebench at 1.48 in bios which is loading at 1.440 in windows. But I didn't pass prime95. I'm thinking its the IMC because I bumped the SA voltage two times and it seems to get further. I think my lottery for Ivy Bridge is just about as good as my lottery for my GTX 670 =\. Can't OC my 670 past 1215 on the core when other people are getting around 1270+. Temps are good for that as well.

Cheers for the link. I'm not recommending this because I wouldn't do it myself but it may work... would flashing a newer BIOS help your GPU overclock? With the CPU overclock, never played with IVY, but I sold a 2600K SB and that was worst CPU ever I sold that and got a 2500k. The 2600K wouldn't clock past 4.2ghz and I tried it on several mobo's, it was utter junk...

I don't know, but I don't think so. I haven't tried it under the new 10.5 bios. I believe its a voltage problem because my temps are in 50s and it doesn't start to throttle till 80. Since nVidia locked the voltage I'm pretty much SOL. I was brave enough to cut my IHS off my 3570k, but I'm not brave enough to try soldering the volt mod on the 670

After MUCH deliberation, I finaly settled on the MSI Z77A-GD65 LGA for my new gaming rig. I hope it will be a good home for my new i7 3770K. I plan on moderate OC'ing, should receive the components in the next few days.

You will love the BIOS and I certainly wont be going back to another brand.

If you want to watch a rather inspiring video by my brother, here is one to keep you on your toes whilst you wait smile.gif

I'm going to order this board with 3570k later today, everyone happy with this board? did someone changed to another board and found it better?
The only issue I found searching about this board is related to NIC driver error, not sure if it is a bad batch but found more than multiple users complaining about their NIC fail to start with c10 code with this board. I hope to get answers before ordering.

No problems at all here with NIC, the board is solid - I have uploaded a 4.5ghz template that reduces back down to 1600mhz when not gaming to save $$ on power bill, lifespan of cpu and temps.

Getting my open box GD65 today, really excited for my first non Asus board, hopefully that also means no headaches that usually accompany my builds.
