Honestly I haven't updated the BIOS since I bought this board which was the first week of release. I've always had the idea of if it ain't broken don't fix it with the bios. Is it recommended to update it? Also this is my first MSI board. I am more familiar with the ASUS boards. It appears the bios update is different on this board?

Is this just when using the mouse in bios? I've never seen that message, although still used to old school bios & haven't actually used a mouse in the uefi bios yet. Does it give the message when navigating with the keyboard?

edit: just looked in my bios & I do see it has ME version 8.
To update the bios download the latest for your board from MSI & put on a flash drive. reboot & enter bios, go to utilities then m-flash, choose the new bios & update.

Ok thanks. Sounds simple enough. pretty much the same as an ASUS board.

Hello TiHawk560, I think latest bios V10.5 is more stable for overclocking thumb.gif Now I run daily at 4.8ghz 1.40v and I notice that if I set auto on System Agent voltage (VCSA) it will set to 0.9250volt (default) eventhough I overclock myRAM from 1866mhz to 2133mhz.... before this with bios V10.2 when I set auto on System Agent Voltage it will set to 1.3250v!!! wow its too high I guess.

Yup I flashed it with my USB FD via m-flash in bios menu works perfectly everytime, I cuoldn't flash it with bootable USB FD method although with USB FD tools to flash bios in MSI forum....strange it just always failed in the middle flashing frown.gif

With my old P67A GD80 B3 I never had problem flashing mymobo with USB FD bootable method.

So I thought since my tracker hasn't been updated I would get confirmation for what my RMA is up to. After about the 5th attempt to get someone to pick up and not their answering machine, I gave the person my RMA number. There was an akward silence and then he asked "Do you have a tracking number for the carrier that shipped it". I said why yes I do. I'm assuming he saw that it was delieverd about 2 weeks ago. He then said "Can you hold please" and I said sure. He comes back on the phone and says, "I'm going to have to e-mail you later today sir because no one knows where your motherboard is". I laughed and said ok, only because I had insurance for the item and tracking. So if something happened someone would be paying, either MSI or USPS, but not me. I get an e-mail a couple hours later saying that my new motherboard will be shipped out the same day. I find it humorous that I imagine they said, "Well can't find his but he has proof that it got here. Just pick a board and send it to him." Kind of irritated that it has taken this long due to it missing.

Hi Evan smile.gif
You just need a 2G or 4G or more USB FD 2.0 to flash bios via m-flash in bios menu. Its simple smile.gif just download latest bios in MSI web according to your mobo's type then un-RAR it and copy 2 files (like this when I download bios V10.5 --> E7751IMS.A50 & AFUD238S) into your USB FD and then just restart your computer and go to bios menu by pressing del on keyboard.
After that you just need to go to UTILITIES at right on bios menu and choose M-flash (its at the bottom) and choose your USB FD and your bios file... after that it will automatically flash smile.gif

Remember after flashing, go to bios menu again and shutdown ur computer, do CLEAR CMOS (I used to take out my mobo's batere for 1 minute and put it again) and start your PC again, once again go to bios menu and press F6 for loading optimal default and last press F10 to save & exit smile.gif .... Done.
