Jackblqck, what CPU are you running in that MB? Also have you cleared the cmos after the bios update. (like take the battery out for a bit ).

Main Board: MSI - Z77A-GD55
Bios Version: 1.11 (The latest from MSI for my MOBO)
Video Card: MSI radeon 7870 2GB OC
PSU: Corsair zasilacz CX Series 600W ATX, 80 Plus Bronze Certified
12v rail Rating of listed PSU:
CPU: i7 2600k 3.4ghz
Memory: 8GB : 2 x 4GB - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 - 2133 MHz / PC3-17066 - CL11 - 1.5 V
SSD/ HDD: MAXTOR STM3160815AS (HDD)
CPU COOLER: The one that came with CPU (from intel)
Raid Card:
Sound Card:
Any Additional hardware plugged into your system:
OC: (Yes / No) : No
Operating System: Windows 7 , 64bit

I did clear the battery from mobo but at 1.1 version not at 1.11 which i added yesterday.

Also i opened up my CPU chip 1155 where the CPU goes in , and i noticed a SLIGHLY bent pin just 1 (maybe this 1 pin disabled pcie ex 3.0 slots) and since all the other pins are fine my 2.0 pcie ex works with my new GPU.

I did took a paper and bent it a little bit up , and it wasnt as bent as before , cleaned cpu/cooler paste and added a new one , but still the GPU would no start, back onto my mobo GPU .

I think ill wait for tomorrow when the tech shops are open take it there and buy a new socket (hope its possible)

The 2600k will only run the pcie slots in 2.0 and not 3.0. Can't remember, did you disable the pcie gen 3.0 setting in the bios? I would try that if you havn't. I know some where having problems with it on auto, so they disabled it in bios and everything worked after.

hey guys well I just got a few new parts one being the MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming motherboard along with a XSPC raystorm EX240 kit. I am recently new to overclocking but it seems like I can only get my CPU to about 4.1 MHz. Anyone know if this is the max this board can handle because it does not let me pick a higher CPU ratio. Btw I am only increasing the CPU ratio not anything else. Anyone know if I am doing something wrong?
Do you mean it will not let you change the cpu ratio higher than 41, or that is only as high as it will boot? You should try using the turbo method for OCing Here are some shots of the BIOS for a 4.5 OC
