Hope people don't get stuck with busted Kindle that can't be replaced because Target would rather kiss up Apple's butt for their stuff.
Are ya stupid?
Do you think Amazon wont back its own products?
My friend cracked the screen on her Kindle DX and Amazon replaced it in 2 days and it was 10-months old.
Retail is all about profit per square foot.
They make close to nothing selling a Kindle and the only thing they can make money on with the kindle are accessories like cases and screen protectors.... which people usually buy after their initial purchase.
Frankly, I think the Kindle is a silly thing for retailers to waste space on when they can sell higher margin electronics that are in equal or higher demand.
Plus, a small Apple store inside Target increases not only Target's visibility for quality products but also improves the prestige of the establishment.
Apple hate is so annoying. It's business and it's booming - Nobody is making you buy it and if you disagree with how other people spend their hard earned money you need to find a better hobby. Let them play farmville on their $1,300 laptop and Angry Birds on their $600 tablet.
