Computer took a shower. Everywater coolers worst nightmare... Pics inside [It survived :)]

Well... I was playing Battlefield 3, doing pretty damn good too, when the game froze and crashed. About 1-2 seconds later, I hear this gargling noise coming from my computer.

I knew it was bad. All the sudden, GPU fans rev up to 100% as I'm rushing to unplug it from the wall. At the time I unpluged it, it was all running fine, so HOPEFULLY nothing is damaged.

I plan to leave it in my closet for 2 days with the fan running. The GPU and soundcard got hit the worst. I had to drain my GPU after I took it out, let me remind you it's air cooled...

This day now sucks, I'm depressed, and I want a cookie.

Any advise is appreciated.

ALWAYS USE COMPRESSION/BARB CLAMPS/ SMALLER TUBING

I suggest drying it off with some paper towels and letting it run for a day or two with some fans circulating air.

good thing your PSU was facing down, or you wouldve toasted it.

advice? buy some worm clamps and hook it back up, fit any smaller cards you can into a bag of rice, or even better, a bag full of silica gel packets

do pull your mobo and make sure the back is dry, a friend of mine got zapped thinking his pc was dry after a similar incident.

Ouch that sucks. I would get bags of rice and put the sound card and the video card in there just in case.

Also what barbs and tubes were you using?

I had a ton of water spill all over my GTX 580 a week after I built my loop, it was all good after I covered it in paper towel and let it sit for a few hours. If you were using distilled water then theres nothing to worry about.

Not true. Distilled water picks up metal particles in the loop and becomes conductive fairly quickly after running in the loop.

Could've been worse...at least your PSU fan was pointing down. Hope your components are fine!
