Some of those fixes are fine but alot of things need fixed before some of these fixes. Sever stability is one.

Why install something manually when there's software that:
1) Installs the selected mod for you
2) Keeps the mod up to date automatically
3) Keeps arma 2 beta builds up to date automatically
and 4) Adds functionality to the server searching/filtering?
Also six launcher is for arma 2 mods, day z just happens to be one of them.

When it comes down to installing mods manually, you're right, it's not hard. But doing a manual installation when a competent automatic alternative exists is simply retarded.

Sorry, but for DayZ, you're both wrong, and H6-Ninja is correct.

Carfreak, W4LNUT5 and I avoided losing Ghillie suits, Camo suits, and L85s because we didn't update to the horribly bugged 1.7.2 versions. We kept playing on 1.7.1.5, or whatever the previous version was. And then when Six Launcher accidentally grabbed a bugged Arma2 OA beta, surprise, we didn't get it, so we kept playing. And given that servers update themselves whenever the server admin feels like it, we never have to worry about having vehicles or tents on a server but not being able to access it. Just the other day I rolled my version back to an older one in order to get onto a specific server. It's not difficult, it's not time consuming, it's just having more control over your software; welcome to OCN, where that's sort of what we're into.

That said, some launchers have friends lists, which would have been handy prior to adding the name of the server to the server information window. At this point, for someone like me who plays with small groups, it's not really necessary yet.

I gave dayz another try with one friend and his friend. I could still use respawn . Found a Lee enfield with four mags, makarov and 7 mags, and a number of foods and bandages. Nice to run through a city where zombies are bugged and lagging

Agreed, I personally prefer updating both DayZ and Arma II OA manually. thumb.gif

THANK YOU, someone who can see the light wheee.gif

People can do whatever tool they like to install the mods. But doing it manually sets you in control smile.gif

Yes you can, unless something happens to the Hive, then you can be logged off as long as you like. I atleast havent heard anyone getting killed while logged off.
