Arma 2 Dayz Mod: Zombie Survival Simulation. - Page 193

Lol... newly spawned ran into Cherno. Found a hatchet, some ammo clips, and other minor gear.

Suddenly shots ring out all around me while I'm moving through the medical tents (which are always empty). I duck to the side and see the foe, he has an mp5.
Instead of running away I run right at him, strafe to the left, then the right, this guy is spraying shots all around me. I make him waste not one but three clips as I jig and jive to the side whenever he goes to fire. He is trying to get with with a single burst and it is costing him his ammo.

Before this guy realizes it I am on top of him and WHACK get a solid hit with my hatchet. He goes running trying to reload as I sprint closley at his heels.
Now I have to keep running to keep the gap close, so eventually I am worn out, and he can still sprint turn and shoot, but just barely.
Sadly he did get me, but not without taking three hits of my hatchet. I was so sure he would be out of ammo with all the bursts I was happily avoiding, he must of had four or five spare clips.
I only lost my hatchet and a watch. rolleyes.gif

Now I am desparately trying to find some food, haha, I'm probably going to starve.

Carfreak, W4LNUT5 and I avoided losing Ghillie suits, Camo suits, and L85s because we didn't update to the horribly bugged 1.7.2 versions. We kept playing on 1.7.1.5, or whatever the previous version was. And then when Six Launcher accidentally grabbed a bugged Arma2 OA beta, surprise, we didn't get it, so we kept playing. And given that servers update themselves whenever the server admin feels like it, we never have to worry about having vehicles or tents on a server but not being able to access it. Just the other day I rolled my version back to an older one in order to get onto a specific server. It's not difficult, it's not time consuming, it's just having more control over your software; welcome to OCN, where that's sort of what we're into.
That said, some launchers have friends lists, which would have been handy prior to adding the name of the server to the server information window. At this point, for someone like me who plays with small groups, it's not really necessary yet.
Actually, I'm right. I anticipated some remark such as this, which is why I included the word "competent" in my last sentence. The inclusion of that word wasn't an accident. Observe how one word changes the meaning from something partially true to something undeniably true. Checkmate, you condescending little mod, you.

And if I ever had the desire to roll back a version (I don't), I'm perfectly capable of doing so, even with Six Launcher. I've never had a single problem with it.

Awesome. Very well written too btw, enjoyed reading this post.

I literally only have about 45mins of playtime so far. Stories like this make me want to play again.

Next get in as driver, just sit there dont start the engine or anyhting. In the top left corner you can see some things. Engine Fuel Wheel and one other thing. Those that are red needs to be fixed those that are green are all good. You then need to get the items into your inventory and fix them with the scroll menu on the vehicle, note that it can be hard to find the right menu, as some vehicles have a sweet spot where the menu can be found.
You usually need more than 1 wheel to fix a car, sometimes up to 4. Trucks have more though wink.gif
The vehicle can drive without hull and with the engine at red, but it is not recommended as it can go 'boom' quite easy.
Oh yea, and you need jerry cans. They spawn full, and can be filled at the big gas tanks found around barns and the airfields, not by the Petrol stations, unless it has one of these tanks out back.

Thanks! thumb.gif

edit: yea, the jerry cans are soooo common. Before I decided to start hitting grocery stores I was always looking for food in other buildings. I see so many jerry cans in barns (farms?). Last one I was in had 4 jerry cans and a hatchet; it left me screaming, "Where's the beef?!"

Ahhh logged on and said I got killed, but it spawned me in a open field with nothing around me, with blood level stayed the same as when I logged out. No nothing in my inventory, whats going on?

Edit: Either that or I get stuck on the black loading screen

Usually something like that, the things you dont need spawn every time. And then when you do need them they are no where to be found. Really anoying.
