Get the beta patch downloaded and installed, along with the DayZ mod.
The most optimal, for me atleast, is AA off and PP off aswell, then put your gamma and brightness all the way up, and set your HDR quality to Very High. This will give you something, my group calls poor mans night vision, this enables you to actually see something at night, meaning you can play on lower populated servers. You can set the others as you please with this setup.
If you are using Sixlauncher or something like that I cant help you there, I think it is easier to just do it manually wink.gif

Is it better to do manual or with SixLauncher? I got SixLauncher by following the directions on their site.

So do I need to do anything for my game to recognize that I have the others installed?

Thanks and +rep

I personally don't find anything wrong with Six launcher but some people hate on it because it can update your game to a version to far ahead and blah blah blah. It's all about personal preference. To me someone put in the time to make it easier to just get on the computer and play so why wouldn't I use it, I started using dayz Commander however, but I still never had a problem with rolling back versions when I had to.

Nothing. Some will say manual is better but ive had 0 issues with six launcher, though Dayz commander sounds better

You can use sixlauncher if you want, I just find it easier doing it manually.

Your game will automatically find what you have installed, so yea you need them all installed, and all on steam ofcourse. Remember that you need to launch the game as Arma 2 OA Combined Operations.

It's not easier lol, it might save you a headache if you and your friend use two different methods but it's not easier. And there's a big ol' launch button on six launcher so you don't have to worry about launching as Combined Ops

All I'm saying is you're wrong. You press one button and it's done for you. Sadly not everyone's opinion is right, I'm just clearing that up.

A *click* is harder than:
1. Go to website
2. Check for area for updated files
3. Download updates
4. Install updates
5. Ensure everything is working and make some changes if need be.

Thats easier? For you? How?
