If you right click on the desktop shortcut for Arma 2 AO and look at target. If it has that -mod=@rmod at the end you should delete it. If you launch it through Steam then it shouldn't have that to begin with.

I never have game shortcuts. Meaning I launch it using Steam.

Update: By updating the beta myself manually, I can access a few {official} servers but with only the same Beta Version, anything lower gives me a "Wrong Version Server Rejected Connection" including the OCN server. Looks like a Mod should update it rolleyes.gif

oh I might know the problem... in dayz commander options, you either need to uncheck ''launch with steam'', or have both that and the option below about replacing with beta files checked too.

I played some DayZ+ tonight for a few hours. My conclusion at the end is I noticed no difference over normal DayZ other then seeing some dead bodies with warm clothes looking skins, some different weapons (which isn't different from some private hives) and the zombies are wayyy overpowered. I'd much rather just stick to normal DayZ.

Dayz mod on Dayz+:

It's a mod of the DayZMod, aimed at implementing features the community has requested, the guy making it is also on the community dev team so you might see some of the popular changes made here added to the official mod at some point. I haven't played it yet but a few of the features/differences include:

- Construction system (ladders, gates, barriers, camo netting, watch towers etc)
- New types of clothing (soldier clothing, different camo, woodland, ghillies etc)
- New weapons
- New tent models
- Less high-end military loot (I think AS50's, NVG's, Rangefinders, M107's have been removed entirely)
- Backpack sizes/slots adjusted
- Some weapons changed (crowbar is a toolbelt item now and damage increased, crossbow fire rate increased etc)
- Loot spawn rates/tables completely redone.
- New types of crash sites.
- Zombie damage increased

On DayZ+, ammo only spawns with guns (except pistol ammo), you'll only find russian weapons at military spawns, US/BAF weapons are crash site only (that means the ammo is, too), AS50/M107/L85 removed, and a bunch of other stuff.

Vanilla DayZ is way too easy imo. Too many guns/supplies.

It really depends on the server. You can find active private hives that have their own anti-hacks. Hackers on them aren't that common of a site, especially when they have active admins who aren't abusive themselves.
