Just got killed by a hacker I'm pretty sure...lost some very nice equipment. Anyone mind if I join up with them? Been going at it solo for a long time and getting sick of it.

Everyone seems to be using the direct microphone channel quite effectively now. It has an area of effect and is of limited range. I scream out "DONT SHOOT! FRIENDLY!" whenever i see a survivor who is close. It seems to be working very well for me. Survivors who don't respond I just keep my distance from but most people respond and say "yep, friendly" then we usually team up for a few minutes or trade. I just love this kind of player vs player interaction, it is a very tense and personal form of cooperative gameplay! You get the odd person who shoots on sight but that can be avoided if your carefull and have good situational awareness.

Oh they got that working? Or is that only for the Beta patch players?

Yes, it works with the beta patch, and Rocket has mentioned that in the updates ahead, it will be required, so to just get used to it and install it.

It's already required as of 1.7.1

Every time I join a server it says I'm missing the Hatchet. I have only ever used Six Updater and Six Launcher. Any ideas as to what my problem may be?

Missing how? If it's missing from your belt, that's just because of the update, you need to find a new one. If it's the "Missing file: C:\.......\hatchet" , just ignore it, it's a bug.
