That's probably my problem as well. I have the paid version, everything is set to very high but I haven't messed with the 3d res. I'm running a 580 @900mhz, usually pulling 60fps. Thanks man +Rep for you thumb.gif

The only textures that aren't high-res with the paid version of Arma are the character textures. You need one other expansion to get the high res textures for those.

I kind of feel like it should be metro 2033 considering that my computer can handle metro 2033 better than ArmA.

Anyone know how to force the game to utilize the GPU fully? This problem is really annoying; the lower I set my settings, the lower the GPU utilization goes.

Guys make sure to set video memory to default. Very High only sets it to 512mb. On default the game detects what your graphics card has.

That really helped my performance. I now mainly sit at 60fps with vertical sync enabled. Also disable post processing effects makes the game much sharper.

Because I get 48-70 in BF3 on high 4xaa?

Both games look OUTSTANDINGLY better.

Its a six core CPU @ 3.75ghz.... I fail to see your point about that? Why would i spend $220+ on a CPU so I can play a terribly optimized game? I looks like im playing BF2, on a system that has no issues with any other game. period.

I have a core i5, and it still runs badly without using 100% of any core. It's just a horribly optimized game. I really hope that ArmA 3 will have performance in mind.

Exactly. Unless he is doing benchmarks or is dry icing @ 6ghz.... his CPU is slower in multi threaded games.

Its not really 224km^2

You could say BF2 maps are that big, and that the scale is just HUGE.
