You don't actually have 2 SROMs at the same time. At start-up the SROM has to be loaded to the sensor from an external memory anyway (at least that's the case with Avago sensors), you simply load the one according to the angle snapping in the software.
CM Spawn does it that way.
It was also done with 3060/3080 mice. A3060 (400/800 CPI) and A3080 (400/1600 CPI) share the same hardware and you can load the A3060 SROM to the A3080 sensor and vice versa. To have 400/800/1600 CPI settings on a mouse you load the SROM you need.
An example is the Ikari Optical, that's why there is some delay/lag when pressing the CPI button if you set 800 CPI as the low setting and 1600 as the high setting.
