I dont care about the stock cooling of the card cause ill be using a antec kuhler 620 ( and vrm heatsink if you think it need it )

according to http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/517?vs=550
the 7950 would be better but I wanted to know with high overclock ( max if possible ) wich would be better

I'd just go with the 7950. They don't overclock too bad and they're newer tech, less heat, less power, higher resale value the next time you upgrade, etc

have you considered buying cards off the OCN marketplace? They sometimes have decent deals there, I think I saw a used 580 for like $300 with a full lifetime evga warranty (not sure about complete availability since your in canada)

With Max OC's the 7950 will still pull ahead a bit unless your running like a 1100MHz GTX 580. It does depend on the game though.

Also consider drivers.. yeah the 7950 is a good card, but many people complain about AMD driver support and issues all the time regarding pretty much any series of AMD cards. I don't know if you've had experiences with bad drivers or not, but it's something to consider.

with 7850 I had no problem with driver ( or maybe I didnt saw the problem )

I will probably max out the clock for those card ( heat wont be a problem , maybe only the card itself wont allow it (artifact ))

What games? The 580 will be better in games like BF3, SCII, CIV, Skyrim whereas the 7950 will be better in some others. It really depends on what you are playing to which card is better, even after OC's.
