I got my 3770k in the mail today and tried to fire her up with my Z77-G45 (MSI). Unfortunately though when it gets to the Windows bootup screen (Windows 7 64 bit) it swirls around like normal for a second and freezes and goes to BSOD for half second and restarts before I can even read the BSOD.
I've basically tried everything I can think of. Different GPU, different RAM. BIOS is up to date (v2.3), and chipset drivers are installed. I'm guessing the MOBO is DOA. However the BIOS works great, no signs of anything wrong with the MoBo outside of my windows issues. I might try and boot to Ubuntu from a flash drive or something as an alternative to shotgunning the MoBo.
Anyone got any other ideas? What a let down. I was planning on doing some OC'ing tonight, not troubleshooting....
I forgot the most important part, sticking my HDD back into my old chassis with my Q9450 and P5B everything is happy. Something about the new hardware is pissing windows off.

) I say sadly because that might be an easier solution than what I might find.
