Thread Starter
Okay my cousin is looking to buy a new laptop

She has a friend selling a Macbook 13" for 700

Processor: 2.4 GHz (P8600) Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn with 3 MB on-chip L2 cache
System Bus: 1,066 MHz front side bus
Memory: 4 GB (Expandable to 8 GB)
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 320M with 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory
Hard Drive: 250GB
Optical Drive: SuperDrive: 4× DVD+R DL writes, 8× DVD+/-R read/write, 8× DVD+RW writes, 6× DVD-RW writes, 24× CD-R, and 16× CD-RW recording
Airport: Integrated 802.11a/b/g/draft-n (n enabled) (BCM4322 2x2 chipset)
Communications: Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) wireless technology + 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector)
Battery: 63.5-watt-hour
Weight: 4.5 lb (2.0 kg)
Dimensions: 12.78 in (32.5 cm) wide × 8.94 in (22.7 cm) deep × 0.95 in (2.4 cm) high

Or is it better to find a sandy bridge laptop with i5/i7? the only thing she use her computer is websurfing, showing clients houses, and watching movies.

SB is three generations newer..... the GPU is MUCH better and the power consumption is lower.

Besides, used laptop = shortened battery life.
Once again...

She's could spend $500 on a new machine that will have better performance, last longer, have the latest features, larger screen, maybe higher resolution.
It's only logical thumb.gif
