first, i apologize if i posted this in the wrong thread, i was going to post in computer peripherals but its closed. anyhow i have an asus-g51 gaming laptop with a standard dvd-r/rw burner and noticed a continuing issue. if i have a disk in the drive, the drive continues to spin up the disk attempting to read the disk, and just keeps going and going and going. the drive doesnt want to eject the drive either, it takes me pushing about 4 times then holding for 10 seconds to eject the drive (im getting it down to a science now). does anybody have any idea why it does this? to give you an idea of what this does, i just tried to install microsoft office professional and during the installation process when the drive tried to read the disk, all it did was attempt to read it and keep spinning up the disk. can anybody please give me some insight into this issue. also if there is a more appropriate place to post this please let me know or admin please most my post. thank you so much for any help or info.
