Kepler and Ivy Bridge falling short in BF3? - Page 4

Everything is maxed out, which honestly shouldn't be a problem regardless of sp or mp. The framerate should be consistantly above 60, but I've "felt" it drop down to 30-40. It's almost always in the 50's and sometimes it holds the framerate around 40-50. It never feels smooth enough. Rarely will I see it above 70, but i still see tearing and the framerate drops.

Did you do benchmarking and system usage/temps monitoring yet?

I'm still at work lol. i get off at 3:30 pm EST, but I'm going on lunch break in 10 minutes. Since I live close to home, I'll go home and double check the drivers for you guys. I do monitor temps ocassionally, and I usually see it at 60-70ish, which isn't bad.

So you have MSAA on 4x I take it?
It's a huge drain in BF3, even 2x is. Run a few synthetics to see if your system is up to par.

If it is, take MSAA back to 2x and see if it improves your game.
You also have HT on that 3770. BF3 has had problems with HT in the past which caused major stuttering. You might want to look into disabling HT and testing the game.

....software for flash in IE and click it and now no more 50% gpu in bf3 when IE is open. I always just closed it before I played until now. Good idea! BF3 is the only game that suffers from that when IE is open though for some reason...

If you are playing BF3 through Origin, are you leaving the IE page open? This may be your issue.

I doubt it has anything to do with my 3770k, cuz i was using my phenom ii x4 965 and had the exact same issue, and having 1 webpage open definitely should not hinder my set up

I have no idea, but he mentioned to check your internet connection which is a valid point if you struggle in multiplayer. As I understand it the problems are also in singleplayer, though?
