The internet is a good point. i am on wireless, however i use a wireless network gaming bridge (trendnet 400mbps....not sure of the exact name) it hasn't given me problems before when i had an hd 6750. I'll go check out SP and check out my framerate real quick and i'll let you guys know in a little bit.

yea how does it do on single player? a 64 man server will bog down your system even if it is a beast if your connection is iffy.

It's not your cards fault. MSAA in BF3 is just terribly optimized.

Did you have the 680 with the Phenom II?

The next step is to run other games and a synthetic like 3DM11. Your graphics score should be 9300+ and your physics score should be 8000+.

U NEED TO RUN SYNTHETIC BENCHMARKS BEFORE ANY MORE BF3 TALK!!!!

If you want to track the problem down get BF3 out of your head.

Ok i'm at home, and i'm downloading 3d mark 11 now...but as i recall the free one only lets you benchmark 720p right?
Is your GPU running at 90%+ usage all the time, or no?

Also, PLEASE use the Edit button if yours is the last post on the page ... do not double and triple post, with a minute or two between them, when nobody has yet replied thumb.gif

And yes, the 3dMark11 only benches at 720p for free, but the result is still plenty useful.

Allow me to also add that at these settings at 1200p resolution, the card only averages 65fps in Single Player ... and it's pretty well known that MP causes a significant FPS hit in this game as well ... I'm not ready to make a diagnosis yet but I have to wonder whether or not perhaps the described results aren't actually fairly normal headscratch.gif

I have noticed my ping going crazy lately. Usually my ping is around 30-40 though on the servers i join, and it shouldn't be a problem in games like NFS the run either, since i play single player. I'm thinking it's not the cpu or the internet though. I'm just not sure if it's a driver thing, or i got a crappy gpu.
