Problem with my PC, need help!!

Hello friends. I urgently need help! I have AMD FX-6200 3.8 ghz CPU , MB - ASUS Sabertooth 990FX , 2gb Kingston RAM on 1333MHz,GPU is AMD Radeon HD 6870...Problem is with my PC : When i turn on computerr everything is working properly even when I play games all working properly but when I do nothing on the computer and when I leave for 15-20 minutes and do nothing he throw an error "REBOOT AND SELECT PROPER BOOT DEVICE OR INSERT BOOT MEDIA IN SELECTED BOOT DEVICE AND PRESS A KEY "and I must restart computer that would work well, even when I try to install Battlefield 3 my PC throw the same error ... Maybe all this is happening because I have only 2 GB of RAM, the temperatures of the CPU is fine when I play Skyrim percent of all working normally ... I need your help, each to solve this problem?

That error means your computer lost the connection with your hard drive.

I would start with making sure the connection between your hard drive and motherboard is good.

Second i would check the health of your HDD / SDD. If it's a HDD, what is the S.M.A.R.T. status? If it's a SSD, upgrade the firmware....and did you do any performance tweaks to it?

Are you in a RAID array?

I once had a very similar problem where when my PC was idle, instead of TRIM support kicking in,...Windows would flip out, loose connection with my SSD, and my computer would restart. I ignored it, and it eventually currupted Windows. So i did a firmware upgrade and reformated. Have not had an error since then. Lets just hope you don't have the same problem. :-)

I really really doubt your RAM could cause that error.

Definitely a problem with the hard drive or something related to the hard drive (like the controller on the board)

Like crimson said above, check the connections to the drive first.

Check if SMART is on for the HD in the BIOS and if so check the SMART status and make sure it's okay. SMART should automatically alert you to any errors anyway if it's turned on.

The RAM isn't your issue but I'd certainly suggest a minimum of 4gb for any sort of gaming.. 8gb if you can afford it (8gb ddr3 1600mhz is about $45)

Is the drive new? What model is it? You should fill out your sig rig so we can see your PC specs and help you out more easily.

My MB have 2 Jmicron SATA 3.0 Gb/s connectors and 6 AMD Serial SATA 6.0 Gb/s connectors...My Hard Drive is 5 years old :)I turm my sata cable in AMD Serial SATA 6.0 Gb/s connector, is it correct or not???

6 year old hard drive... BINGO!

Hard drives are mechanical as I'm sure you know.. they spin on average at about 7200RPM depending on the model.

6 years is a long time for a HDD.

I think you need to invest in a new drive and back up any and all data immediately.

6 yr old HD is like a 120 yr old person dude.

I solved the problem smile.gif It was the entrance to Hard Disc ... I am the first cable included in the input flow rate 6.0 Gb / s because I was teased, but now that I have included in the input flow rate 3.0 Gb / s for now everything right ... Guys thank you very much ... smile.gif

I would still take the suggestion about getting a new hard drive to heart. 5-6 years is a very long time for a HDD, and you are just asking to lose all of your data if you don't back up and prepare for the inevitable. wink.gif
