Nah. Not interesting, nor nothing new. Trinity will bring something new, that's something to wait for.

Waiting for Trinity is "risky." We don't know what we're getting. Ivy Bridge, despite the massive leaks and previews before launch, was always known to be a power consumption focused die shrink with some boosted GPU capability.

Trinity on the other hand is using a brand new CPU architecture... it's a revision of Bulldozer. Bulldozer was less than stellar, and we don't know how much Piledriver will be picking up the slack. It's likely safe to assume that it's an improvement over Llano in the CPU space, but the amount of improvement is up in the air. The only thing "guaranteed" is a big boost in GPU performance.

I should clarify - waiting isn't really so much the risk as getting your hopes and dreams up is. We have less than two weeks to wait... not really a big deal.

Unless budget hardcore gaming is your only concern, Trinity is irrelevant.

Non-gamers (which encompass 95%+ of users), casual gamers and hardcore gamers with a >$800 budget will benefit much more from the powerful and power-efficient Ivy Bridge CPU, and a better platform, along with a decent GPU (which according to is as good as Llano according to all benchmarks).

OT: I'm personally looking forward to Ivy notebooks and ultrabooks.
