I'm thinking more about getting a Mac... as much as I dislike Apple, I repair computers on a college campus. Learning OSX would make my job easier, considering the sheer volume of Macbook Pros we get. Plus, it's just something new to learn.

I'm just waiting for availability of the ASUS G75VW-DS72 which would come standard with a 3610QM Ivy Bridge Mobile processor. It should offer somewhat better Battery Life in comparison to the G74 Sandy Bridge counterparts.

Sorry, you must be mistaken, as I've been told macbooks never have any issues and actually cure the user of their problems. rolleyes.gif

That being said...

I really hope trinity delivers. Not just because I want more competition, but I think AMD has it right here: GPU is (and will become even further) more important than the CPU. While Ivy Bridge looks great, I think trinity has the potential to blow it out of the water if it's iGPU is as good as it's rumored to be. Plus, the price looks to be incredibly low for these Trinity laptops, and I'll take an ultrathin laptop with a trinity processor over an ivy bridge if the performance is good.

I don't really like Apple either but I think the Air is the sexiest computer out there.
