Windows/Mac binaries have yet to be coded, you'll have to wait another week or so for them. frown.gif

After years of having access to photoshop, I end up throwing up in my mouth a little bit every time I have to use GIMP. But hey, beggars can't be choosers, it's not bad for being free.

In before you get your eyes open.

GIMP is used in many professional environments and it's not a "quick and simple" tool -- how many hours have you spent learning Photoshop? Just because something is different in another application doesn't mean it's worse.

Sure, Photoshop has more features and is better in many aspects, but Adobe has over 4 BILLION USD per year to play with. How many developers do you think that pays for?
Meanwhile, the Gimp developers have *nothing*.

And it's not "freeware", it's open source.

Don't belittle the Gimp. Help it grow instead, so that you can look back on this day as the day you freed yourself from your Adobe masters instead of the day where you did nothing and let yourself be a slave to the corporations.

Start using Gimp more seriously - yes, it's painful in the start but the hours you spent learning Photoshop weren't easy either. You just didn't think you had a choice.
For some use cases, you still don't, but the shackles of corporate oppression can be cast off in waves; and you can start now.

Awesome... glad they got the single window mode going as standard now.

Next step to get some of the FLOSS developers to grow up and stop with the stupid names.
