Computer randomly shuts down

Thread Starter
I am running a windows 7 64bit on a mini desktop. Lately however, the thing randomly shuts off on me without notice and it takes an hour or two for it to be able to reboot. I tried turning PSU off and on and reconnecting the power cable etc but it still wouldn't boot up during the time frame. One more thing, after I eventually get it to start up, I get the CMOS checksum error and when the OS loads up and everything, the clock shows the time at which the computer shuts off, meaning that the clock didn't run at all when my computer was off. The clock works fine if I turn the computer off myself though.
I replaced the CMOS battery and the problem still persists. Could this have anything to do with my PSU?

I'm using a silverstone mini case with a SilverStone SST-ST60F-SG power supply (600w). I've done some research and people who have similar problems seem to point to the ram. I will replace my patriot G series sector 5 2x2Gb with G skill Ripjaw 2x4Gb. I also just ordered a can of compressed air to clean the set up. As far as my psu goes, do you guys think that 600 w is insufficient. As you may have noticed from my attached screenshot, i have a second internal hdd connected.

600W is more than enough to power most systems, only when you get into SLi and Crossfire do you typically need to have more.

The issue you are describing sounds like a heat issue, possibly with the power supply itself overheating. If it was the board or other components the heat would normally dissipate quickly after shutdown allow for a restart, at least quicker than an hour. The power supply overheating would take much longer to cool down as they typically do not dissipate heat nearly as fast.
