Actually I had two and they both turned out faulty so I didn't have to keep those monstrosities.biggrin.gif

the 800d only has a few spots where you can mount a fan.

if u want an air-cooling case get the 500r, i got 12 fans on it.

I had a 6990 in the 800d before. I forced an intake fan at the very bottom of the case, so two intake fans were working together from the bottom. Then I took a piece of that thin plastic my fans came in and bent it to channel the air from the intakes right into the intake fan on the card. Otherwise the air doesnt really make it directly to the intake on the card. You have to sort of channel the air.

Could you get an Antec 620 and blow hot air out the case? That would possibly be your best bet for good temps. Also maybe go entirely to WC. Maybe like a H60 or H80 on the CPU... Get all the major components on water and radiators blowing out the case is what i'd do...

i have this on my case, if i put with 1-pci gap under the GPU it helps with air flow. it has 2 fans contolled by a fan controller which is on the unit, and it's dead silent when on lowest.

300

Like stated before, if you're only running one monitor at 1080p why bother paying for a 690?
Get a 680 and you'll have enough leftover to liquid cool every component in your case with quite a fancy loop.
