Havent touched BF3 in months, and its not currently installed. That said, when I ran 1920x1200, I got 120~ FPS no problem. I cant see it dropping that drastically to where it'd really hamper performance.

Which is more important to you, fidelity or fluidity? In my experience most people are oblivious to both, but everyone leans one way or another. I'm going to replace my 26" Asus with a 1440 or higher display since I spend as much/more time doing work at my desktop as I do gaming, and it will be the far better overall display. If you use your system almost exclusively for gaming then the faster display would be more of an option, IMO. Despite being more expensive, I find 2560x1440+ displays are better bang for your buck since they are the better displays for just about everything OUTSIDE of gaming. You can probably tell that I lean towards fidelity overall, and am willing to take the hit on less fluid gaming for benefits towards everything else I do on a computer. But like gsv said, I'm sure someone could easily argue the opposite.

It's just as hard to blindly pick a display as it is to blindly pick speakers/headphones/other audio equipment, so if you can your best option is to go to a local store and compare the two types of displays. Almost any place that sells Apple products will have an Apple Cinema/Thunderbolt display up and places like Microcenter (and I think even Best Buy) are starting to get 120hz displays in. Even though stores are usually god-awful for looking at displays, they can give you some idea of which way to go, especially if you're only used to a 60hz TN panel.
