Personal Opinions
I myself have a Galaxy SII and I don't feel any need to upgrade at all... I feel as though Samsung pulled an "Apple" on us today. Sure it's a decent hardware upgrade and the software is appealing but I don't think it's enough. The first thing I'd do with the phone is put CyanogenMOD9 on it because in my opinion it's much more functional than TouchWhiz...which looks terrible.
In my opinion the better purchase for new buyers would be the HTC One X, which has a Super LCD display with a 720p resolution. The problem with the SGSIII is that it uses a Pentile pixel arrangement which causes pixelation in text, regardless of it's 306ppi.
