[Work Log] Darth FADEr - The Hertz Are Strong With this One - up and running briefly - Page 3

Thread Starter
decided to redesign the side panel just a little bit so that I would be able to add in 3 100mm fans at the bottom for better graphics card cooling while moving the 200mm higher up to work on the processor and other components more. added imperial logo fan grille on outside and looking for internal grills to be added also.

Not bad! not bad!! Should turn out great, and you shouldn't be missing out on side cooling that way! haha

On another note, Have you tried the sleeving tool yet? and also did putting it in while hot help the sleeving process?

i didn't have time yet to really try it out. i'm in the chicago today for the morning and then i have placement tests for college so i'll be busy. the earliest i might get to it to try one sleeve is tonight otherwise i'll be doing it tomorrow. i'll let you know what my results are with it. i did buy some of the NZXT sleeved extensions just in case though so i can have my computer running and still look nice. if i get it working i'll just transfer them to my brothers computer, (his stock power supply isn't long enough to fit in a Mid tower)

Looking good! Can't wait to see your final sleeved results! without the pre-done extensions!

On another note, is that the GTX 680 Twin Frozr? I'm looking to buy that and can't find any anywhere! gah! tongue.gif

you think it would be... but it's not! that my friend is a MSI Radeon HD 6870 twin frozr overclocked hawk edition. it's as a good as a 7850 just uses a little more juice. going crossfire soon. I highly recommend this card. I've never met a game this thing can't handle. I've run two sessions of NFS shift 2 (extreme graphic usage) and its only gone to 90% usage. I know shift 2 will max out a GTX 670. my friend has one and it doesn't match up to mine.

biggrin.gif i cant take all the credit sir.. i just took what you already knew and put it into a different perspective. but im glad i could help, even though i have never fully sleeved a psu yet(will be happening this week).

fine. you can have 12% of the credit (anyone get the reference). but thanks to you i'm no longer dreading to go and keep sleeving my PSU... found some molex to SATA power though so i'm going to be removing one of my SATA wires from my PSU and just going for the molex to control it. while i'm thinking ahead. do radiators need some sort of plug in????

Anybody have any suggestions on a new cooler? i'm also thinking on getting some red EL wire for the mobo because the sabertooth is all black/lime green (all my green is covered up by my MSI hawk biggrin.gif )

I'm also looking into a keystart so Darth FADEr doesn't get damaged when i go off to college by someone who tries to potentially steal (mad.gif) or play with it

EDIT: Thanks to SniperTeamTango for the information on the keystart! i've ordered one and i finally got around to ordering the plexiglas cause our CNC at school is finally up and running!
i'll keep on sleeving later after i go to the bookstore for my mom and find her a good College Algebra book (she needs to finish her math classes before i (her tutor) leaves for college)
