Yes but shouldn't I be getting much higher FPS with my hardware? Like I mentioned my buddy with the same stuff but older GPU (GTX 480) was getting 60-80 FPS in the same spot as me and I'm only getting 40-52

with your hardware you should beable to push 60+ but if your trying to gain higher FPS to see that 120hz led work you will need a dvi-d connection

What is your friends processor? Online games can be fairly CPU intensive. Also, not internet connections are created equal, and there can more to getting good FPS from online games than just raw internet bandwidth.

If your 3dMark11 scores look proper, chances are good that there's nothing 'wrong' with your system. But he fact that your card is nowhere near maxed out, and changing shadow quality to low doesn't do anything ... those suggest that this issue is some kind of bottleneck somewhere in your system in this particular game.

Also, do you have everything in NVCP set to defaults?

My friend has the exact same CPU as I do at the exact same clock.

and Wwhy is my GPU usage at 80% which is a lot for this card but I'm not getting awesome FPS?

And yes NVCP settings are default.

When you installed your memory did you put it into your 1st and 3rd slots, or are they right next to each other?

Are his in game video settings equal to what yours are?

Sorry If I'm throwing some random questions out there, but I'm really at a loss on diagnosing your computer. Your 3dmark11 is close to where it needs to be. Unless he has overclocked his computer substantially(CPU and/or GPU) or his in game settings are much lower than yours, there should be no reason for the difference in fps in game.

He put the ingame settings to all max just like I did. hes GPU is at stock clock. and his CPU is OC'd to 3.72 just like mine is.

These are some good questions. ^

If your CPU is the same, make sure your settings are the same as his as well. He might have some setting in NV CPanel or ingame different than you and that could be the reason for the FPS gain.

Also the internet connection makes a great point - Since you are not maxing your GPU at all nor anywhere close even with low settings it goes to show that there must be some sort of bottleneck.. It doesn't look like it'd be any part of your hardware as it is all adequate (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc..), so it might be your connection like he said. Your hardware may be the same but I doubt your internet connection is the same, even if you have the same internet package from the same internet provider.

Other then that if every other game is working well there should be no reason to why the game isn't running well too, unless it's the game itself. You've done everything.
