Noctua NH-U12P doesn't fit with memory

I'm building my i7 3770k rig, and I got a new cooler. I installed both fans, and attempted to install the Heatsink. However, it does not fit. IT just barley hits the RAM. So I can only think of two options:

1) Remove one of the fans from the heatsink, and only have it as PULL.
2) Remove the heatspreader from the RAM stick.

I imagine that 1) would take a lot of performance away, becuase it restricts the cooler to only PULL. Option 2, however may require some work, and the RAM may overheat.

What should I do?

Or just skootch the fan up a little higher on the heatsink. Ya it'll look awkward, and no it isn't quite right, but it'll work just as well.

Wow, I don't know why I didn't think of that. It works perfectly. Thanks so much +REP

Doesn't the NHU12P use fan clips? I didn't think the fans can be moved upwards.

I saw some images on google and it uses but they look different than the ones that uses NH D14 which lets you move them more down or up thumb.gif

The fans can move a tiny bit up and down. Not that much, but it was enough to let the fan fit. And Pics coming soon
