VRM-Mosfet Cooling for 960T

Thread Starter
I have a gigbyte GA-970-D3 which has a 4+1 power phase, but it came with no heatsink for the mosfets. Could I just have an 80 MM fan blow on them from about 1 inch away instead of heatsinks? If so, what could I OC too? I have a Hyper 212+

You could just point a fan at them to help keep temps in check but a better option would be to use something like these with some thermal adheasive combined with the 80mm fan for best results.

Direct airflow from a fan is very effective.
