Good Non-reference 7970 for Xfire?

Hi all!

I know... not another "ahh which 7970 should I get!?!?!", but I wanted to get a few opinions before I drop $500 lol.

I am looking to get a 7970, and I am almost positive that I will Xfire it within a year or 2. Anyways, I really don't want the reference cooler because of the noise. Seems like the Sapphire Dual-X, MSI lightning, HIS IceQ X2, and the gigabyte windforce fit that bill the best.

Unfortunately, I was going to use store credit at a certain site, and they only have the sapphire and the gigabyte. I have heard that the Gigabyte is loud when overclocked, leaving me with the sapphire. It unfortunately, is 2.5 slots, and may cause issues with spacing.

Does anyone have any experience with the windforce, or xfire'd sapphires? I'd love to hear your input.

Also, should I just bite the bullet and get them at another store if it would benefit me that much?

I look forward to your comments.

Thanks in advance!

The only non-ref boards are the DC2 and Lightning. The others are just glorified ref boards with fancy coolers.
