if anything you should upgrade that monitor first. everything else is high end and that monitor is a budget one.
i am glad i got a EVGA 590.
1. lifetime warranty
2. plays 90% game at 60fps on my dell u3011.
what else can i ask for.
just wondering if 690 you will see better graphics at the same setting compared to 590 other than the frame rate increase?
Considering I still have my EVGA GTX 590, YES. God yes. I've had my GTX 590 since RELEASE DAY. And it's getting replaced as soon as my GTX 690 is delivered on Monday. So please, don't talk to me like i don't have any idea what the 590 is like.
I loved my 590, but i'm sorry - it does not compare to the GTX 690 or a pair of 680s in SLI. Period. It's not even close. A single GTX 680, and with improved drivers at that, will undoubtedly surpass a GTX 590 in performance completely in a relatively short time from now. It's already trading blows in most benchmarks. I also built this rig to last me at least 2 years without upgrading.
It seems like you just jumped in this thread spouting off about how much you love your 590, even though no one said anything about the 590. Insecure much?
And also, you're really hating on my monitor? It's 2560x1440p, while yours is barely bigger at 2560x1600p. The only difference is you paid $1,200 for yours, and I paid $380 for mine. Oddly enough, they both use panels made by LG, except mine doesn't have crappy anti-glare coating that screws up colors. Or did you not know that? And here you are, telling me that I "got a lot of money to throw away." LOL. Even if that WERE the case (and it's not), I can afford it, since I work hard for my money. Who are you to tell me that i'm throwing away anything?
