Go with the EVGA 448 Core card. It should be around 10-15% quicker than the Ti cards.

Not entirely true....

If he happens to have a higher end 27" that has a higher than 1920 x 1080 resolution he will want the 2GB model as he will need the extra VRAM to handle the higher resolutions. If he has a 27" that is just 1920 x 1080 the 448 core is the way to go for sure.

True if @OP was gaming on multi monitor or at resolutions a lot higher than 1080p then the 2GB RAM would be very useful. The EVGA card does have 1280Mb so should still perform very nicely even on a larger monitor.

At 1920 x 1080 you don't have really any need for more than 1280MB of VRAM. So in that case I would go with a 560 Ti 448 core or possibly a GTX 570. The performance per dollar is much higher in the 560 Ti 448 than the 570, but the 570 does performing at a higher level. Actually, scratch that, I would buy a GTX 580 off the market place here for a little over the $300 they are going for, now that is value!
