I simply can't wait.

The only creative software I can think of right now that's lackluster on Linux is video editing software... though that may just be because it's 2 am.

Just what I hear, though. I personally don't know.
Though I'm no expert coder, I've never really seen the appeal of VS over something like vim or emacs besides the unwillingness to learn how to use the latter two. Writing web pages and some junk scripts I've never felt the need to use anything besides my keyboard and then just save/run whatever it was (unless it was some crap troll script) and see how it turns out.
But then again, I've really never felt the need for a GUI to do all the stuff one typically does in the terminal on something like Gentoo. Dunno if something's wrong with me.

Just you know, a complete restructuring of the GUI to make it actually... good.
You realize that Linux itself has no GUI, right? You've got a lot of choices -- GNOME, KDE, XFCE, LXDE, Fluxbox, Enlightenment, awesomewm, etc.

How so? You don't like using the terminal?
