Lamptron couldnt be any worse with customer service. They don't reply to RMAs. Let alone emails. The phone numbers they list on their site are dead.
They claim to have a 1 year warranty on their fan controllers. But good luck getting them to respond if your unit fails in that time.

Shortly after this post the overclock.net Lamptron rep got in touch with me. Apparently their website RMA process is down, so he took my information directly and passed it along to Lamptron.
I received my replacement FC5 a week later. All the way from China Lamptron spared no expense. The express shipped my new fan controller, as well as included their new stainless steel modding tool kit.
I have to say, they went above and beyond my expectations.
Do not let my experience stop you from purchasing Lamptron products. I bought an FC3 today for my htpc, i wouldn't have done that a week ago!

I have the FC9, that has 2 colors that are completely wrong. White is cyan and yellow is green. 2 wires on molex no longer fit and has became loose.
Also what is with that short wire line, I mean you cant even hide the wire behind case, and most molex cables from psu wont even stretch that far in full tower cases on the top 5.25" bay.
You have to use molex extensions to get it to work.
I've been in contact them since April 12th, and yet to have this issue resolved.
2 months and just terrible service response from email. A total waste of $60 and never will own or recommend a lamptron product again.

Frankly I am finding my lack of a camera and the fact Lamptron wants pics for everything on the RMA form has been keeping me from RMA'ing my dead FC5V2 for a couple weeks. Sigh. I think I can snag a camera this weekend....
That said, I understand why they want pictures, so as soon as I get 'em I will RMA my FC5V2 and report back on the experience.

Reporting back....
I was pretty happy when Spawne immediately authorized a replacement unit for my FC5-V2 to be sent to me, and I was emailed from Lamptron confirming address information is correct to send the unit.
That was June 26th.
It is now July 23rd, and I am still patiently awaiting this replacement to show up.

I'm still waiting on my replacement as well, I emailed them June 30th, Robert replied on July 4th, and said a replacement was on its way shortly, and I haven't received anything yet. I found it odd that I wasn't asked to confirm my shipping information either
