Note: My encounter with Lamptron customer service was over a year ago now but I feel I should still leave a response on it.
My initial attempts at emailing support resulted in no response whatsoever. It wasn't until I PMed Spawne32 on here that the ball actually got rolling. Spawne32 hooked me up with a direct email and said my problem would get resolved. The emails between Lamptron support and I were sluggish and were just alright in understandability. The people I were communicating with were obviously non-native English speakers which is to be expected for customer service.
After waiting about a month without any response after the confirmation I PMed Spawne32 about the situation. Shortly after that I was emailed the tracking number. The package took about 2-3 weeks to arrive. I was in no hurry to get the replacement so I didn't really mind. The replacement controller itself was black instead of silver. The evidence of the defect I gave Lamptron clearly showed that my controller was silver but I had never specified that it was silver anywhere else in our emails. The color discrepancy is probably the fault of both myself and Lamptron support.
Overall I'm satisfied from my experience with Lamptron. Their support has kinks and is pretty sluggish but in the end I got my replacement free of charge. Being able to keep the malfunctioning controller is nice too. I'll give Lamptron a 7/10.
PS: The issue in the video was that the second fan would take settings from the first knob. If you pressed down the second knob it would regain control of the second fan. It still does this to this day and I have no idea why.
