As per the title says, what do you guys think is better?

The AsRock Z77 Extreme 4, Gigabyte Z77x-UD3 or a Gigabyte Z77-D3H.

I can get the AsRock board for $170, the Z77x is $179 and the Z77 is $155.
I'm needing crossfire at at least 8x/8x for my 6850's and i'm guessing i'd prefer the black board for asthetics.. rolleyes.gif

Also i'm a little confused as to the Z77-UD3 running two cards at 8x/8x speeds. The guy at the store I'm buying it from said that it will. But as to the website it will run it at 4x? (It doesn't state PCI-E 3.0 or 2.0).

EDIT: If it matters I'm going with a 3570K and 8GB of G-Skill @ 1600MHz. Depending on the chosen board and what I have leftover I may look at 1866 ram..

Assuming your poll meant Z77X-UD3H, I would get that one. It's a rock solid board with all the features you'll probably need. The board will run at 8/8 with two cards. PCI-E 2.0 or 3.0 is determined by the cpu. Ivy does 3.0 and sandy does 2.0 (3570k is 3.0).

Yeah I know you need a Ivy for 3.0. I was just confused that between a couple of the sites they mention one slot being 3.0 and the other being 2.0. I'll see what I can budget out for.. Thanks for the heads up! thumb.gif

Out of the three choices you picked I would go for the UD3H. How does the UD5H price out for you by the way? If it's not too much more than the UD3H, give it consideration. It has better audio and an Intel NIC on top of the usual connectivity extras.

Extra $100 for the UD5H, which puts it right out of my price range.. Might stick to the UD3H if i can afford that, i'm still considering the AsRock to be honest..
