That may be due to Diablo 3 being released in 10 days, this is only reporting retail pre-orders, and that there are significant incentives to pre-purchase
Guild Wars 2.
If anything you could say that Diablo 3 is all about "how fast you can press the left and right mouse buttons, oh so over hyped" Diablo 3.
Both games are great, and there isn't any need to compare them. Even more so if you haven't played each one extensively.

I think after playing so many awesome online/offline RPGs over the years has spoiled it for me. Besides the whole easier to sell in game items for real money deal theres nothing else that stands out for me.
Or maybe Lineage Eternal
is what changed my mind on what a modern top down view rpg should be like
I hadn't thought about Lineage Eternal in a long time, and just looked up some videos. WOW! I have to say that it is shaping up nicely, and I'll have to get it when it finally launches. In many ways Lineage Eternal's combat looks superior to Diablo 3. However, Lineage Eternal is actually an MMO, and the game does play quite differently so although they have a similar camera style, they are different games.
The problem is that after last November there hasn't been any new info, release time frame, and I can't even find the official site? I'm guessing that the release date will be at least 2013+ so that's why I'm getting Diablo 3 now.Edited by AtomicFrost - 5/5/12 at 2:16am
