Just waiting on some new parts to update the log! Getting a 2011 processor and some more watercooling parts later

Having an IT minded friend stay with me this weekend, picking up a secret x79 board and cpu to muck around with. Will post overclocked results etc no the weekend (along with some lovely pictures wink.gif )

Hopefully this can make up for me taking my time, not much mod work yet but a major component upgrade
(Hopefully I should get reasonable PPD in folding)

New motherboard!! Gigabyte x79 UP4 next to my ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z
And two pics just cause I can

All the parts out just that silly blue PCB to annoy me! (getting a black backplate to fix that later
I also have to get two new Waterblocks as they no longer sell then Koolance 7970 block anywhere I can find in Australia (link me if I am wrong)

Really need that new waterblock the compression of the tubing is pressing down on the graphics card and putting it on a horrible angle

Cable management is horrible but I can't do much until get the tubing sorted (again waiting on the waterblocks, pump tops etc)

Not bad apart from the lean and that horrible lean on the first graphics card, getting some new RAM to fill the DIMMs slots as well as two new waterblocks, backplates, EK SLI waterblock connector, new pump top and a few other fun things

Deciding on whether to cut a hole out of my second side panel to allow air to flow all the way through, it should work how it is now but I just think it will allow for some more decent airflow and give me something to do. Might take me a while to get the tools I need (again) but if I decide to do it I promise there will be pics!

Secondly I am just waiting until payweek (not next week but the week after) so I can order all the required water cooling parts, when they arrive, combined with some spare parts from corsair I should be able to clean things up a bit.

Thirdly, OP edit on the way. I think some of the initial images don't give my build the credit it deserves

Just a small update I ordered some parts for my case as certain bits had broken (or been broken by me)

Parcel here.... There was meant to be an 800D Front panel not quite sure how that will fit in that box

Indeed it seems Corsair have not shipped my entire order! Interesting, will definitely be following up on that but in the mean time time to equip the gear I have acquired

Cable management isn't perfect but once I cut those cable tie endings off the whole things should look a bit better, really though with all that tubing and no pump top as of yet it isn't that bad!

That small hole with a light shining out of it is the where the power button normally goes... this is the reason I am in need of a new front panel, to fix my power button.

Just another quick interior shot with the cables tidied up a bit from my last update, nothing really new although that should be on the way soon

More parts arrived, this time quite a bit more interesting. I should be able to finish off the majority of my mod with this wink.gif

All boxed up!

Now you can see all the separate parts, the CPU-380I should be interesting.

Just an overall shot, I am really looking forward to puttting those backplates on though!

Computer all put together and cable management done. Four final things to fix up, 2 Fans not plugged in, no screws for the 4 screws around the actual GPU on the video card, No USB 3.0 to USB3.0 Front Panel yet and I haven't cut a hole for the mesh on the otherside panel.

Great system and great color scheme. I am going for something similar also. Got my 800d, maximus v formula, 3770k, and Gigabyte 7950 so far.
