I'm running a Phenom II 1055t at 4004mhz right now, I cannot go any higher without going unstable and blue-screening in prime95. I've learned that's it's from keeping the RAM set to auto timings. I've never OC'ed RAM before and am looking for a little pointers on pushing my CPU (that's under water) even further. I can't seem to find a straight up DDR3+AM3 overclocking guide.
I'm running 8GB of this ram: SAMSUNG 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model MV-3V4G3/US
I've read on these forums these are great for overclocking which is why I purchased them.
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
This is a pic of my BIOS settings, the settings I change are the ones in red correct? Do I leave the rest on auto?
