How much did people hate on NFS : The Run because of the 30fps cap ? imagine all pc titles were capped to 30fps , nobody would want to play .. Graphics cards will only be half as powerful , technology would be 10 years behind .

The 30fps cap introtuces excessive frame time lag because 30fps is still slow compared to the refresh time of a 60hz monitor.

Seriously though, proven scientific fact the human eye and your visual cortex cannot see a difference in normal movement on anything above 60FPS. Increase in rapid movement speed requires a little higher to maintain a smooth unchangeable flow to your brain but we are talking an extra 10 FPS max.

not quiet, back in old school CRT monitors, i get a headache with anything below 70hz. usually goes away after 75hz. lcd is different and i don't get a headache even below 30hz.

Its different in a game , 3d applications .. 24fps is barely , border line limit playable .. The gpu's have to render the frames its not being recorded at a set frame rate so the more it does the smoother its going to be .. if u understand what im saying .
60Fps is the spot , simple as that youse can argue all day im just laughing

You are completely right about real-time rendering for games, however some game engines don't require 60 fps for the game mechanics to run correctly, Skyrim and LA noire come to mind that run completely fine at 30 fps. Anyway for most games yes FPS is important to the engine just to run properly.
