Make sure to delete HPCS accounts...$2k a month mistake if you dont

Thread Starter
So I know there are other threads about making sure to delete you HPCS accounts but I wanted to draw some more attention to it especially for those who did not use a prepaid card. here is a little look at the bill they have for my use:
181

No one wants a 2k bill. And think of the cost if you have multiple accounts. Just wanted to throw this warning out there and help remind people.

As was mentioned below the date should be included. The day is may 10th... However probably a better idea to delete all the instances by the 9th. Even a couple of hours or a day can add up to be a fair bit of change

You should try to terminate instances as well. Or maybe you did that and you are talking of just the Cloud web site.
I was told there is no charge for an open account as long as there are no files in Storage and no "created" instances under Compute.

This thread ought to include the date when they start charging, which is May 10th.

I've tried to cancel two weeks ago and according to their customer service I'm still "in the queue" after talking to a manager I was lead to believe that they don't actually have to tools to cancel accounts yet and are waiting on those tools.

The rep I talked to earlier told me it would be a few days before my request would process but I also would not be charged since I cancelled before billing started.

They shouldn't charge if I leave my account open, but delete all my instances correct?
