I would work there over my current job. Free HPCS is just a perk.

I'm sure their starting pay at one of their data centers is much more than I make now sad-smiley-002.gif

I doubt they give out free HPCS to the employees. If you have a legitimate company use I am sure they would let you but they probably have other servers that they would want you to use.

You: Thanks James, I appreciate it

James S.: Is there anything else I can help you with?

You: That will be it, unless you would like to extend beta access in deffidently

James S.: If only it were possible.

You: Well, I'm SURE you will always have open unused compute servers... All I would need is the access

James S.: There's always the option to work for HP! It's how we get ours

You: Ahhh, good point.

You: Not very local to South Central KY though

You: Nothing is local to where I live right now...

James S.: Well we are all looking to expand so we have more AZs

IDK seems kinda weird that they would allow give them to employees but hey they could claim to be doing long term stability tests rolleyes.gif. The HPCS site seems to be down. I bet they are trying to sucker all of us waiting to cancel by not allowing us to cancel the instance

EDIT: they are "changing the world". is that fancy speak for trying to stop me from canceling my instances?

They dont get to USE HPCS LOL. What he means is they get to toy around with the hardware. And use old servers for what ever we kinda want until they get scrapped. I have seen no incentives of free HPCS usage for employees.

LOL come to think of it the guy you talked with probably has not even seen the actual data centers that house the cloud services. Now granted he might be part of some testing team for future hpcs updates but who knows.

well i am officially the biggest moron out there. I forgot to cancel all of my instances last night due to being a little sleepy. had about half of them running for 3-4 hours. oh well I am going to leave the accounts open so that I can pay the bills. I owe HPCS at least the 5-10$ from all the accounts running for those few hours. They did give me like $15,000 worth of computing after all.

You: ok so i should actually probably not cancel if its not to late.... wana make sure i can pay the bill since i forgot to cancel yesterday
You: its only a couple bucks but i lost my wallet so your card number is probably wrong. I assume i wont be able to pay it without an account if the card has changed
Tim Garcia: You can edit the card information with a working card at any time.
You: ok well i guess dont cancel the account then? if i wont continue to be charged and that way i can update the credit card
Tim Garcia: okay not a problem. Just a reminder that the meter is not running if you have no services running.

eh not to concerned about the couple of bucks. I think they deserve that for the millions of points they got me.

The guy i talked to told me that the billing started at 12PM PDT may 10th. but that was at 4 AM pdt so not exactly really sure when the billing starts.
